What do you think about fair trade?
Is the opportunity for every person to compete on a level playing field
objectionable to you?
If this world is global, should everyone not have an equal chance?
Now my views on fair trade are …I am in favour of it. However, I think it was a broken concept..until now.
The point of fair trade is to give business and economic opportunities to those that do not have the same chance as more developed countries. The problem is competition…How can a farmer in Africa for example compete with a developed, tech savvy marketed business….They cannot.
It is fantastic that we have organizations helping to promote these enterprises but it is not enough.
Free market dictates that for the consumer to benefit, then the market should be as free as possible but if many businesses cannot be seen in this market , then how can trade be fair .I am fully behind anyone that gives a helping hand to others and allows the consumer to choose what is best for them in a market that is free to choose from. This today is not possible but with the launch of Zynkin every business in the world will compete on a level playing field. We will donate free accounts to producers who do not have a marketing voice and put them in our marketplace, let the consumers find them and do what we can to expand their trade at zero marketing cost. I am not making this unfair for others as I am letting the customer choose…I just want to give them a chance to compete.The only thing I am doing is giving them an account with us for free….Let’s see how big companies deal with small businesses, sole traders and home projects competing with them on an equal footing.
If competition is fair and equal not only will the best business win but the customer is the true benificiery of such a system. Our system gives the power back to the buyer and allows the arrogant businesses to gat a kick up the backside. We want business on attributes not on unfair advertising budgets. Give every competitor a chance against you…and if you are scared….What are you hiding?
